batsandbandages: "Five more minutes."

She roughly shoved him off the bed, eyes glimmering with amusement. I refuse to be the reason you’re late for work just because you’re tired from the interpersonal gymnastics we did last night. Up and at ‘em, Doctor Elliot. I’ll make breakfast while you hop in the shower.” It was something, this offer. Selina wasn’t really a domestic morning after kind of girl.

“I do try to be creative.” He snickered, glancing over at Selina with a raised eyebrow at the nudge. He had to admit, seeing her in one of his shirts and nothing else had become something of a favorite of his; hands down one of the more attractive sights one could wake up to, even from the floor. “At least you didn’t make a reference to mouths or tongues - I don’t think I’d have been able to resist the urge, imminent threat of clawing or no.” He snickered as he plucked the indicated undergarments off the doorknob and made his way down the hall toward the bathroom, turning to deliver a parting shot over his shoulder.

“I really do have to be at work on time today, but don’t think I won’t cajole you plenty another time.” Their track record spoke for itself after all, and that thought was enough to keep a very smug smile on his face for the majority of his time in the shower - thankfully absent of anything that would leave him smelling like he’d just stepped out of a very high-class spa. By the time he reappeared in the kitchen he was just fastening the belt on this slacks, a fresh shirt unbuttoned, but at least on. Eager as he was to get to this operation, the mornings that Selina chose to linger tended to leave him wanting to take his time a little.

“Anything remotely potable in there, or are we going to have to resort to cannibalism to survive the winter?”

A roll of her eyes and a quirk of a small fond smile punctuated her walk to the kitchen as she poked her head into the fridge to see what they had. Practically nothing. She sighed. Trust it to the two billionaires she knew to be incompetent at feeding themselves. She turned the coffee machine on, and washed the wine glasses left in the living room before daring to rummage through Tommy’s pantry. Lots of canned food. All of which she refused to have for breakfast. Leaping up, Selina perched on the kitchen counter, swinging her legs like a child as she waited for the coffee.

As Tommy wandered into the kitchen, she shook her head with a wrinkle of her nose. “Just canned food.” Pouring two cups, she hopped off her perch and handed one to him, leaving her own to cool slightly on the counter top. Ducking under his arm, she drew in close to slowly button his shirt. “But if you wait, I can drop by with lunch ––– ”
